Encourage is a free college and career planning program designed to help ACTFL educator members guide their students in discovering their interests, exploring new opportunities, and making informed decisions about their futures. Through Encourage, ACTFL members gain access to valuable tools and insights that highlight the impact of multilingualism, empowering them to support student success both inside and beyond the classroom.

This free lesson plan helps students reflect on their own career aspirations while expanding their awareness of the wide variety of professions that exist beyond the most visible or “dream” jobs.
Through guided reflection, group exploration, and pathway mapping, students learn how their interests and strengths can connect to careers they may not have previously considered.
