What is Encourage?
Encourage is a free college and career planning program designed for your students to discover their next steps after high school. Once your district is enrolled, students complete a simple one-page preference form that generates their personalized College and Career Planning Profile, connecting them with college options and scholarship matches tailored to their goals.
The form takes about 15 minutes, covers one page (front and back), and can be completed on paper or digitally. It's a small investment of time with a big return for your students.
How it Works
Getting Started With the Encourage Program is Easy
Step One
Submit Your Approval Form
Sign and return the superintendent approval form to enroll your district.
That's the only approval we need to get started.
Step Two
We Send Materials to Your Principals
Once we receive your signed form, we'll mail the college and career preference forms and postage-paid return envelopes directly to your school principals. They'll coordinate administration from there to ensure the forms make it into classrooms. A digital option is also available if that works better for your schools.
Step Three
Students Complete the Form
Principals distribute the forms to classrooms. Once students complete the forms, they are connected to the Encourage app where they can explore majors, discover career options, and view their college and scholarship matches.
Step Four
Students and Educators Get Access
After forms are processed, students receive an email invitation to activate their Encourage account and explore their matches. The educator associated with the returned materials will also receive an invitation to activate their educator account giving them visibility into student results.
Step Five
View Your District Insights
When your district participates in the program, you’ll receive a report that provides the district-wide insights you need to guide planning, identify gaps, and support school leaders in strengthening postsecondary readiness.
